Peter Obi, has been declared the winner of the presidential election held in Nasarawa State on Saturday, February 25.
Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate won the state ahead of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his All Progressive Party (APC) counterpart, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to the results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC), collation officer in Nasarawa State, Prof. Ishaya Tanko, Obi scored 191,361 votes to defeat his closest rival, APC’s Tinubu who got 172,922 votes while PDP’s Abubakar secured 147, 093 votes.
