Less than 12 hours after becoming America’s President-elect, Joe Biden has garnered additional 4.6 million Twitter followers.
According to Nairametrics, Biden’s followers grew from 12.2miliion on Twitter as at 12:30 am GMT+1 to 16.8 million as at the time of writing this (7:30 am GMT+1).
The spontaneous increment in followership can be attributable to his victory at the November 3 polls.
Biden emerged winner of America’s Presidential election having garnered 270 electoral college votes.
Political pundits have concluded the increase in social media followership translates to a global acceptance.
Biden won America’s 46th election with 75 million votes.
