Why Tinubu Will Likely Be Nigeria’s Next President-Tanko Yakassai
Popular politician, Alhaji Tanko Yakassai, has revealed that All Progressives Congress (APC), National Leader, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu is likely to be the next President.
Yakassai said this during an interview he recently granted in Kano.
Speaking during the interview, he said: There may be an unwritten understanding that when President Muhammadu Buhari finishes, the Vice President will likely be the next presidential candidate of the APC.”
Yakassai also hinted that Tinubu might also be in contention for the slot, as the office is for the South West.
“If it’s not Osinbajo, then somebody from there, probably (Bola Ahmed) Tinubu will likely emerge as the candidate of the APC.”
He added: “I don’t see any possibility that the party will think of giving its candidacy to the South-east, against the support it got from the South-west. Apart from the votes, don’t forget that APC also enjoyed material support from the South-west.”
Pastor of the Latter Rain Assembly, Tunde Bakare is one of the several other people interested in succeeding President Buhari.
