Kneeling

Once considered a very rude girl, Toyin Abraham has grown to be a very respectful woman.

The actress, who has been in the media spotlight in recent times after she was snubbed by fellow actress Funke Akindele at the premiere of Iyabo Ojo’s “Return of Arinzo,” has insisted that she would always go down on both of her knees to greet elders, whether anybody likes it or not.

She shared her opinion about always kneeling to greet people after a fan and X user noted that the habit is fast becoming unnecessary and looks like “eye service.”

The X user, who was reacting to a video of Abraham kneeling to greet businesswoman Shade Okoya at the 70th birthday party of former Ogun State governor Gbenga Daniel, noted that although they remain a fan, they believe that the actress’s constant kneeling is becoming unnecessary.

In the video, Abraham could be seen going down on her knees to greet Okoya and other guests. The X user felt it is becoming unnecessary for her to greet people in such a manner.

“I won’t stop kneeling to people who value and deserve it, my darling. I will continue to go on both knees to greet people who value and deserve it, no matter the status,” Abraham wrote on X.

Revealing that she decided to respond because the criticism emanating from her kneeling to greet people is beginning to look like an attack, she noted that she was brought up to kneel and greet elders, and she won’t stop.
