Timi Dakolo Questions FG On Public Gathering

Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo, has questioned the motive behind the Federal Government’s decision to lift the ban on public gathering.
Days back, the government lifted the ban on churches and mosques, subject to the state government’s protocol.
However, there have been reactions and questions regarding why the government is lifting the ban at a time when the COVID-19 infection rate is at an all-time highest.
In a Twitter post, Timi Dakolo wrote: “Dear Nigerians, I want to ask. What is the reason behind the Federal Government lifting the ban on religious gathering? We just pass ten thousand Covid-19 cases. Would this somehow reduce the numbers?”
Timi Dakolo’s reaction to the lifting of the ban has started a conversation in the entertainment industry with music pundits questioning the real motive behind the directive.
