Nollywood actor, Taye Arimoro, has sued actress and producer Peggy Ovire over an alleged assault.

In the complaint filed by the actor, he demanded a pubic apology and ₦100 million compensation over an incident that allegedly happened on a movie set earlier this month.

In a letter dated November 18, 2025, from Inibehe Effiong Chambers, Taye Arimoro claimed his rights were violated while on the movie set. His contract reportedly ended at 11:59 PM on November 11, and he alleged that attempts to leave the set were blocked.

According to the letter, his vehicle was obstructed by the production manager, while another car allegedly blocked the exit. Arimoro said he started an Instagram Live for safety after receiving threats.

His lawyers argue that the incident breached his rights to personal liberty, movement, and dignity, alongside emotional trauma and loss of earnings.
