The death of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin didn’t come as a surprise to the Spiritual Leader of Inri Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele.
This is as the seer had prophesied on Saturday, 5th of July 2025 that the monarch needed prayers for long life
Primate Ayodele spoke at the unveiling of the latest edition of his annual prophecy book titled “Warnings To The Nations”.
At the event, Primate Ayodele revealed what God had in mind for world leaders, while warning them of dangers that may befall them if they don’t take caution.
“Warnings To The Nations”, annually released by Primate Ayodele, covers every sector, including sports, traditional institutions, governance, politics, education, to mention but a few.
In the latest edition of “Warnings To The Nations”, Primate Ayodele, in the section dedicated to traditional institutions, warned that he foresees the emergence of a new king in Ibadanland while urging the Olubadan of Ibadanland to pray for his health.
“OLUBADAN OF IBADAN: The spirit of God says the king needs prayers for long life. I foresee some things will change due to his Reforms in Ibadan land. I foresee certain pronouncements from the palace of the king that will be described as very wrong. The royal line age in Ibadan land must be prayerful as I foresee the emergence of a new king soon” (Page 144)

Shockingly, barely 48 hours after the prophecy, the unfortunate death of the Olubadan has been confirmed.
According to Tribune Online, the monarch, who ascended the throne in July 2024, died in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, after spending a year on the throne.
The demise of Oba Olakulehin, born July 5, 1935, is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.
Furthermore, Tribune Online reports that Oba Olakulehin received the staff of office from Oyo State Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde, on July 12, 2024, as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Oba Olakulehin ascended the throne from the chieftaincy rung of Balogun Olubadan, following the demise of Oba (Dr.) Moshood Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, who died at the age of 81 years on March 14, 2024.
