Sherriff Sagaya suffers political setback
The theory that the political future of Sherriff Sagaya ended even before it started is one shared by a lot of people in Kwara State.
Soft-spoken Sagaya kicked off his political career with the tall dream of becoming the next governor of the state.
With his mother wining and dining at the corridors of powers many thought it was a tall dream which might just be assailable if fate somehow favours him.
Over time, Sagaya soon cut his coat according to his clothe, as his ambition soon changed from contesting for the office of Governor to House of Assembly via Ilorin West/Asa State Constituency.
Winning People Democratic Party (PDP)’s primary was a good start, as a lot of his friends urged him to contest the election with the same passion.
Sagaya who is married to Mariam, daughter of Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, however, launched his political career on a sad note, as he was defeated by the speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Abdulrazaq Atunwa, of the (APC).
