RUGA: Christian Association Of Nigeria Calls For Arrest Of Miyetti Allah’s President
A call for the arrest of the President of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria has been made by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
The call was made in a statement signed by the association’s Chairman and Secretary, Bishop Goddy Okafor, and Dr S.C. Nwokolo.
The association’s call is hinged on inciting statements made by the president of the association.
Miyetti Allah’s President has been severally quoted asking for RUGA establishment in all the states; else there won’t be peace in the country.
While calling to Miyetti Allah’s president’s arrest, CAN, also urged that he be tried in a court of competent jurisdiction, urging governors of South-East states to purge out people with strange faces in the zone.
“All the people without identity, who are flooding the zone, should be stopped by immigration and other law enforcement agencies.
“Also, suspected foreign herders and the killer herdsmen are asked to leave the zone immediately. Most of such foreign and killer herders have been identified in some parts of the zone.”
Maintaining its earlier stand against RUGA, CAN said it should be totally abolished.
