Iconic singer, Tina Turner, has passed away at the age of 83.

The singer popular for mega hits including “What’s Love Got To Do With It'”, “We Don’t Need Another Hero”, “The Best”, “Proud Mary”, and “Private Dancer” died at her home in Switzerland on Wednesday, May 24, after battling a protracted illness.

“Tina Turner, the ‘Queen of Rock’n Roll’ has died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland. With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model,’ a statement from her representatives read.

The US-born star was one of the famous female rock singers, known for her on-stage presence.
