Prominent Northern Emir, Shehu Abba Masta II Dies

Popular Borno first class emir, Shehu Abba Masta II is dead.

The emir died on Saturday, January 23, of an undisclosed sickness.

Prior to his death, he was the Shehu of Dikwa in the state.

He also occupied the second position after the Shehu of  late Borno.

The monarch was appointed by the former governor of the state, Ali Modu Sheriff, towards the end of his second tenure in 2010.

The deceased was the son of the late Shehu Masta II appointed the Shehu of Dikwa in 1937.

The prominent traditional ruler was buried on Saturday in line with Islamic rites.
