Police Arrest Suspected Terrorism Financiers

A suspected terrorism financier, Aminu Hassan, has been arrested by operatives of the Katsina State Police Command.
Hassan was arrested for allegedly aiding armed bandits terrorising Danmusa Local Government Area and its environs.
The command’s spokesman, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, said the 25-year-old suspect hailed from Dundubus village in the Daja Local Government Area of the state. He stated that the command’s arrest was part of the breakthrough recorded in the fight against terrorism, kidnapping, and banditry in the state.
The suspect was nabbed during a routine patrol along Yan-tumaki and Kankara highway on November 19th in Danmusa LGA of the state.
According to Sadiq, the suspect was arrested while in possession of two pairs of military uniforms neatly concealed in a black polythene bag.
In the course of investigation, three (3) more suspects, namely, (1) Lawal M Ahmad, age 29, (2) Isma’il Dalhatu, m, age 24, all of Basawa quarters, in Sabon Gari, Zaria LGA, Kaduna, (3) Shafi’u Adamu, m, age 28 of Danjaba village, Soba LGA, Kaduna State, were also arrested in connection with the case.
The police image maker said that 14 pairs of military uniforms and one police uniform, which are reasonably believed to be intended for delivery to the armed bandits for their criminal operations were recovered from the suspects.
Furthermore, he noted that the suspects had during the interrogation, confessed to the commission of the offence, adding that, they would soon be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
