Award-winning singer, Kizz Daniel, has explained the circumstances surrounding his failed Paris concert.
In a series of posts on Instagram, the artiste absolved himself of any wrongdoing, revealing that his inability to perform at the Paris concert was due to a misunderstanding between his tour agent, Olumide Baron, and the show promoters — which led to his crew’s late arrival in Paris.

He disclosed that as early as 6:00 a.m. he was already set for a 12:25 p.m. flight to Paris but was delayed by Baron, who, unknown to him, was attempting to collect the balance of his payment from another promoter to whom he had resold the Paris concert to after signing with Kizz Daniel.
Kizz Daniel stated that Adesope Shopsydoo who was with him at the hotel, could confirm his account of events.
Recall that the Nigerian entertainment scene was abuzz with news of Kizz Daniel allegedly shunning another international show on November 9.
A viral video had surfaced online showing what was believed to be members of his crew — including his bodyguard, Kelvin Power — in a confrontation with a Paris concert promoter over the artiste’s late arrival for the performance.
However, addressing the incident, Kizz Daniel clarified that the video in circulation actually captured an argument between Baron and the show promoter.
He further explained that he had been fully paid by Baron to perform in Paris, but the agent resold the concert to another promoter who, according to him, breached the contract by failing to pay the agreed balance.
The singer, who also shared a notice of breach of contract on his Instagram page, maintained that he was ready to perform despite the delay and even went to the venue. He added that it was the promoters who informed him that the venue would close by 11:00 p.m.
In the notice sighted by The Octopus News, it was alleged that only part payment was made a few hours before the event, by which time it had become impossible for the artiste to meet up with the schedule.
Kizz Daniel also dismissed rumours that he had demanded a specific car — an Escalade — to take him to the venue, describing the claim as false. He noted that he had been using rented cabs for his shows across Europe.
Furthermore, Kizz Daniel expressed regret over the incident, stating that he did everything within his power to ensure the Paris concert held smoothly, but “it just didn’t work out.”
