Osun PDP Mourns Death Of Davido’s Son, Suspends Political Activities

The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is currently in mourning.

This follows the death of Ifeanyi Adeleke, son of Nigeria musician, David Adeleke popular as Davido.

Ifeanyi drowned in the swimming pool of his father’s Banana Island home on Monday, October 31.

Mourning the death of the three-year-old boy, the Osun State chapter of PDP suspended all political activities for the week.

The announcement was made by the Caretaker Chairman for the party in the state, Dr Adekunle Akindele.

Akindele, who described the incident as a very sad occurrence, directed all party organs and committees to suspend their activities.

The statement read;

“We mourn the sorrowful exit of our son, Ifeanyi. We pray for the repose of his soul. It is a sad day but we remain steadfast in our faith in the Lord of the Universe.

“Our condolence goes to Davido, our youth ambassador. We commiserate with our father figure, Dr Deji Adeleke and the entire Adeleke family. We pray the good Lord grant the family the strength to bear this irreparable loss.”
