The singing duo of Bracket has urged Peter, Paul, and Jude Okoye to put pride aside and unite.
Consisting of two friends, Bracket made the call during a recent interview, adding that only God can unite the trio.
The “Yori Yori” crooners noted that brothers should not let anger reach the bone.
The trio of Peter, Paul, and Jude, once united, have been in a long-running feud over money for years. The feud saw them break up their music group, PSquare, despite the intervention of several notable individuals.
Bracket explained that listening to each brother separately only leaves one confused:
“If you listen to Peter, listen to Paul, listen to Jude, you don’t even know where to come in. Everybody has their own personal issue. It’s like, how can you guys even solve this?” They warned that outsiders and public opinion worsened the situation.
“They paid too much attention to what people say. Forget about what people say. You are brothers. You know how you started, you lived in the same house, you came from the same womb. Why are you letting people’s words divide you?”
They also admitted the fight had gone too far, saying crossing into police and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)-level disputes destroyed the essence of brotherhood:
“Both of them, all of them, they’ve crossed the line. Getting your brother locked up? There’s no more brotherhood there. It will take God’s divine grace for them to ever get back together.”
Still, they pleaded for humility, stressing that reconciliation is always possible if pride is swallowed:
“There’s a saying in Igbo: the anger of a brother doesn’t get to the bone. No matter how angry you are, don’t let it reach the bone. Swallow your pride. Dig deep. Leave whatever has happened in the past — the pride, the ego.”
Bracket also turned to fans, condemning outsiders who take sides without knowing the full story:
“We, the fans, are not happy. And the most painful part is people who don’t even know them choosing sides. They judge from what they see on social media.”
