Nigerians have condemned the position of SP Bright Edafe, spokesperson of the Delta State Police Command, over the alleged arrest of a lady for indecent dressing.
In a widely circulated video, a policeman is seen allegedly trying to arrest a young lady dressed in short and a top, as he pushed her into a police van.
However, amidst the criticisms, Edafe noted that the lady could not have been arrested due to indecent dressing. He highlighted the similarity in the dressing of the lady’s companion and wondered why she was not being arrested.
Nigerians on social media have, however, frowned at the Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for his position on the situation.
It would be recalled that the command had days back announced plans to start arresting people who are dressed indecently.
