Netizens on X have reacted to a statement by Atiku Abubakar in which he condoled with the families of victims of the Easter Monday tragic accident in Billiri, Gombe State.
Recall that a truck ran over a group of people on Easter Monday during a procession.
In the statement, Atiku described the unfortunate incident which claimed the lives of five people and left several others injured in an accident.
He also noted that his thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased.
Netizens who came across the statement on X, however, disagreed with Atiku’s choice of words to describe the incident.
Reacting to Atiku, J.Omojola@Jamesomo noted that the incident was a terrorist attack and not an accident.
On his part, Ama ndi Aneze wrote: “Dear AA, must you be spinless to call this video I saw a terrible accident. This is a deliberate, unprovoked, wicked tramping of innocent worshippers by this truck driver. This is a terrorist attack. Call a spade a spade. Rise & condemn this just like you did during Uromi 16.”
Okoroukwu noted, “This is a pure terrorist attack, what kind of wickedness is this.”
MCHNathan@Nathangashang wrote, “How is. this accident?”
Bucos added, “This was a pure terror attack. The driver was on a mission. He purposely rammed into them to justify the money he collected.”
