Ace movie producer, Kunle Afolayan has revealed the cause of the face-off between him and Funke Akindele.
Afolayan, who spoke during an interview with Arise TV noted that his disagreement with the actress and movie maker can not be isolated from her actions during the shoot of his movie, .Anikulapo”.
He revealed that he had approached Akindele to play Queen Arolake in his hit film Aníkúlápó, but the actress demanded ₦3.5 million per scene for the role, a fee he declined, leading him to cast another actress.

According to Afolayan, communication between them broke down after production began, despite meeting occasionally at industry events.
He added that when he later reached out to congratulate her on a recent success, she allegedly asked him not to speak to her or mention her name again.
