Muiz Banire, 20 Others Bag Senior Advocate Of Nigeria Title
Revered Lawyer, Muiz Banire and 20 others have been honoured by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) with the title of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
The Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court and Secretary of the Committee, Ahmed Saleh, said the LPPC approved the award at its 119th meeting.
124 applications were received this year with three academics and 18 advocates, including a woman, making the final list of awardees.
The new SANs would be sworn-in on September 21, at a special session of the Supreme Court to mark the beginning of the new legal year.
Among the successful applicants are Muiz Banire, Abimbola Akeredolu, Edward Ashiekaa, Benson Nwankwo, Joseph Bamigboye, Patrick Okolo, Maxwell Gidado, Tahir Mamman and Akinpelu Onigbinde.
Others are Ibrahim Bawa, Samuel Zibiri, Adeniyi Adegbonmire, Aderibigbe Adedeji, Emmanuel Aguma, Emeka Etiaba, Olumuyiwa Akinboro, Gordy Uche, Uchechukwu Obi, Kehinde Eleja, Paul Idornigie and Oladapo Olanipekun.
