Miyetti Allah Absolves Fulani Bandits Of Southeast Killings, Kidnappings
Miyetti Allah has absolved Fulani bandits and herdsmen of the killings and kidnappings in the southeast region of Nigeria.
The association blamed other tribes such as Igbo, Tiv, Jukun, Kanuri, Shua Arabs, Kanuri cattle rearers as being responsible for the killings.
This was disclosed by Alhaji Siddiki Gidado, the southeast chairman of the group, The Guardian reports.
He agreed that there might be a few bad eggs among the Fulani group, but insisted that the most killings and kidnappings are not perpetrated by them.
“In every tribe, you have bad eggs and when some evil acts are carried out, the entire tribe is made to take the blame,” Gidado said.
