Military Reveals How Top ISWAP Commander, Muhammed Malik Was Killed In Coordinated Air, Land Operation

Muhammed Malik, a senior commander of the Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) has been killed.
He was killed by troops of the air task force in the Lake Chad region, northeast of Nigeria.
According to Zagazola Makama, a publication focused on the Lake Chad region, Malik died on Tuesday, November 29, from the fatal injuries he sustained in a coordinated intelligence-led aerial and ground operation targeted at the jihadist group’s location in the Sabon Tumbun area of Lake Chad on Friday, November 24.
Malik, who is a member of ISWAP’s Shura Council in Marte before going for a course in computer engineering and improvised explosive device (IED) making, sponsored by ISIS in Somalia, was killed alongside some fighters of the terrorist group.
Before his death, he established IED training units where fighters were trained in deploying explosives during attacks.
