Mavin Records Move: Has It Been A Success Story For Iyanya?

It has been almost a year since Iyanya joined Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records and music pundits are already appraising him.
His move sparked off mixed reaction, as most of his fans had expected him to start his own project.
As an artiste with Made Men Music Group (MMMG), Iyanya released songs that formed opinions about his music career. Songs such as ‘Kukere’, ‘Your Waist’, ‘Lekwa Ukwu’, ‘Mr Oreo’ among others stole the heart of his fans.
Although he has spent barely a year with Mavin Records during which he has released ‘Signature’, an EP, music pundits seems unimpressed with his work rate. While some of the songs in ‘Signature’ are equally hits, there seems to be something missing.
There are those who even think that Iyanya’s style of music is gradually changing, as he now sounds different from his days at MMMG.
