Mary Akpobome gets new challenge

At a point, Mary Akpobome was tagged the richest female banker in Africa.
Having lived up the tag for a while she soon went into hibernation, as she parted ways with Platinum Habib Bank (Bank PHB) her employers as at then.
Her return to corporate banking was with Heritage Bank, where she was appointed the financial institution’s executive director ivory banking.
Presently, Akpobome has a new challenge. She has been appointed the acting managing director of Enterprise Bank, as it enters its last stage of transition.
Interestingly, some naysayers are currently speculating the eventual outcome of Akpobome’s new portfolio. The new job comes with the responsibility of managing the internal transition process within Enterprise Bank as well as ensuring seamless integration of the bank into Heritage Bank operating system and culture in a way to protect all stakeholders’ interest.
