Listener Retention: Music Pundits Disagree With Brymo
Music pundits have expressed their disagreement with Brymo’s claim of being the only artiste in Africa with 50 per cent listener retention.
The artiste had taken to social media to make the claim during the week, attracting mixed reactions.
Known for his audacious and controversial claims, Brymo said that he has more listener retention than most favourite artistes in Nigeria.
He Tweeted: “Only artiste on the continent with over 50% listener retention. All top three pop acts in Nigeria have less than 20% put together.”
Music pundits have however wondered if the ‘Ara’ singer is claiming to have more followership than the trio of Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy who are considered the biggest pop artistes in Nigeria.
