There are unconfirmed reports that the Labour Party (LP) has changed it’s gubernatorial candidate in the Lagos governorship election holding today.

The party reportedly dumped Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour as its candidate and adopted Professor Ifagbemi Awamaridi.

In a  letter making the rounds, it was revealed that the method that brought Rhodes-Vivour in as the party’s candidate was valid because Professor Ifagbemi Awamaridi was declared winner at the primary elections.

The letter which was also signed by the executives of the party declared that Rhodes-Vivour ceases to be the candidate of the party.
