A rumour trailing Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, has been put to rest by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
There had been reports that the actress and brain behind Fespris Group had been declared wanted by the police.

However, the speculation was buried by the police who declared the rumour false via a post on its X handle.
In the post titled ‘’Clarification on Police Gazette Bulletin of Wanted Person, the police said that the ‘’wanted notice” about the actress being circulated is false, misleading, and was not issued by the Force.

The poster, which bore the inscription “SPECIAL POLICE WANTED” and carried Iyabo Ojo’s photograph, circulated widely on social media on Tuesday, August 19, and Wednesday, August 20, sparking reactions among Nigerians.
Urging the public to disregard the information, the Force asked that members of the public clarify information before circulating it.
The statement read: “The Nigeria Police Force wishes to clarify that the recent Wanted Person Bulletin circulating about stating that the Nollywood Actress, Iyabo Ojo, is wanted by the Office of the IGP Monitoring Unit is NOT an official communication from the Force.
“The Nigeria Police Force urges members of the public to verify information through official channels and be cautious of misinformation.”
