Founder and Director of AiFlix360 Films, Dr. Ope Banwo, has stated that his pioneering role in AI-driven filmmaking has been validated by four major international awards won at the recently concluded 2026 Nawada International Film Festival Awards (NIFFA).
Banwo, who directed the award-winning films, spoke following the success of AiFlix360 Films, producers of ‘Wakanda Is Real’, ‘Detty December’, ‘Guardians of Naija’, and ‘Talent Hunt’—all AI-powered movies that clinched awards at the sixth edition of the festival held in Nawada, Bihar, India.
At the event, ‘Wakanda Is Real’ emerged winner of the “Best Documentary Film” category, while ‘Detty December’ claimed the “Best Animation Film” award. ‘Guardians of Naija’ won “Best Foreign Film”, and ‘Talent Hunt’ secured the “Best Feature Film” honour.
In an exclusive interview with The Octopus News, Banwo described the awards as a strong endorsement of AI-enabled filmmaking.
“These awards are a loud confirmation that AI movies are not a gimmick; they represent a serious new frontier in filmmaking,” he said.
He added, “At AiFlix360 Films, we are demonstrating that with clear vision, disciplined storytelling, and the right AI production workflow, it is possible to deliver world-class cinematic experiences faster, smarter, and with bold creative range.”
The awards ceremony attracted over 2,300 film submissions from more than 80 countries and recognised excellence across multiple categories, further highlighting the growing global relevance of AI-enabled film direction and production.
