I Regret Relocating Abroad, Actor Femi Brainard Says

Onetime rave of the Nigerian movie industry, Femi Brainard has revealed his regrets relocating abroad.

The former filmmaker who got married in 2012, relocated to be with his wife, Uche.

In a recent interview with Teju Ouelakin popular as Teju Babaface, the producer who doubles as an event planner and revealed the challenges he has been battling ever since he moved abroad to seek a better life.

According to him, he had to start afresh, working as an Uber driver despite being a successful actor back home in Nigeria.

He noted that anytime he is driving, his Nigerian passengers always stare at him in disbelief, wondering if he is the same person they used to watch in films.

“The curious ones would approach me to be sure. It is better to be celebrated and be a prince in Nigeria than to move abroad and be a nobody,” he said.

The soft-spoken actor, reiterated that life abroad is not easy at all and working low income jobs to make a living is not something his wife loves at all.
