Hard Luck For Singer, Davido

Barely days after Nigerian singer, Davido celebrated an elaborate wedding ceremony with his woman Chioma, he has been hit with bad news.
This is as Sophia Momodu has filed a counter affidavit via her legal team in response to a lawsuit by Davido, over custody of their daughter, Aurora Imade Adeleke.
Recall that in June 2024, it was reported that Davido had filed a lawsuit seeking a court order granting him joint custody of his daughter, Imade, and unrestricted access to her.
Davido alleged in the lawsuit that Momodu demanded he pay the nanny she hired a monthly salary of $800, equivalent to $19,600 annually, which he deemed excessive.
He also claimed that Momodu has consistently treated him with cruelty and caused him significant emotional pain.
Responding in a statement released by her lawyers, Sophia denied Davido’s claims that she denied him access to their daughter. She stated that she only denied him access to her body and he cut off contact with their daughter as a result.
Sophia also responded formally by filing a counter affidavit via her legal team, Dr. Anthony Idigbe SAN of Punuka Attorneys and Dr Bimpe Ajegbomogun.
The affidavit, filed on April 17, 2024, and bearing the suit number LD/1587PMC/2024, names Davido as the applicant and Sophia Momodu as the respondent, marking the beginning of a legal battle over the child’s custody.
The next hearing is slated for Friday, 5th of July, 2024.
