Actress, Genevieve Nnaji, has spoken up on the allegation that she described the country’s movie industry as “bland and mediocre.”
The actress, was called out by Nollywood director, Mac Collins Chidebe, over her choice of words during an interview with Punch Newspapers.
However, the actress took to her instagram page to deny the allegations saying “I never called my industry bland and mediocre. Truth or not, they were not my words. As a person/writer, you can assume what you like about my thought process but do not project those thought as quotes by me. Its distasteful, insensitive and quite unprofessional. Its insulting to those limited few working hard to make a difference in the industry. I am a product of Nollywood and my loyalty remains unshaken.”
This is one of the very few times Genevieve would be reacting to criticism on her person.
