Actress and movie producer, Funke Akindele has once again thrashed speculations of dating colleague, Femi Adebayo.
She cleared the air amidst speculation that she was responsible for breaking the actor’s former marriage to Khadijah Adebayo, while his new wife, Omotayo Adebayo is currently asking her to stay away from her husband.
Reacting to the rumour, Akindele said “I’ve fought too hard to build the life and career I have today. Anyone who truly knows me knows the sleepless nights, the setbacks, the hustle, and the sacrifices that brought me this far.
“So imagine my shock when my name started trending for the wrong reasons, accused of having an affair with Femi Adebayo. Rumors flying that I caused his first marriage to end… now some say his current wife wants me out of the picture. Out of what, exactly?”
Further thrashing the rumour, Akindele noted that the relationship that exists between her and Adebayo was mere as colleagues.
*Femi and I are colleagues. We are actors. We are filmmakers. We collaborate, we sometimes travel for work — but it ends there. There is nothing more to it.
“I do not interfere in people’s marriages. I do not break homes. I mind my business and focus on my craft.
“Please, stop dragging me into stories I know nothing about. If you choose to marry a public figure and a Muslim man, trust him. Find your peace — not by attacking others, but by facing your reality. I deserve to live and work in peace. Let. Me. Be,” Akindele stated.
