ON the hilt of an erroneous and negative position by veteran movie maker, Alex Eyengho that financial institutions in Nigeria always sell the narrative that they don’t understand the business of the creative industry, while in the real sense, they are just not ready to finance creatives, Rasheed Bolarinwa, Head Corporate Communication, Polaris Bank, clarified that such generalisations are wrong.
Bolarinwa assured that Polaris Bank is ready to work with the creative industry. According to him, the funds meant for financing creative projects are not “Audio Money”. He encouraged creatives in the industry to form a think-tank that would approach financial institutions and explain their businesses to them. He assured that there are funds available for the creative industry.
Operating in over 250 locations nationwide, Polaris Bank, under the leadership of its Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO), Omokayode Mudathir Lawal, has achieved significant milestones, including winning Business Day’s Digital Bank of the Year Award for four consecutive years (2021-2024).
