FIRS Set To Shutdown Lekki Toll Gate?

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) might seal the Lekki toll gate anytime from now.
This, www.theoctopusnews.com, can inform you. According to a source within the FIRS, Lekki Concessional Company (LCC), which runs the toll gate has been defaulting in payment of its taxes.

Babatunde Fowler, Chairman of Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS)
The source, revealed that the FIRS had prior to now approach the issue diplomatically, but seems to have been taken for granted by the management of LCC.
Further, the source said that to deal with the situation, the FIRS has now opted for a more drastic move and shutting down the toll gate is imminent.
The source who spoke with us in confidence revealed that with several diplomatic attempts at resolving the issue failing shutting down the toll gate is the only way to ensure that LCC pays its taxes.
When www.theoctopusnews.com, visited the Lekki toll gate, the popular FIRS non-compliance sticker which normally serves as a notice of services prior to any company being sealed by enforcement officers was pasted on the property of the LCC.
Our reporter saw several of the stickers pasted on stop signboards just a few feet away from the toll gate.
The same stickers were spotted at the second toll gate near the popular Oluwa Nisola House owned by renowned businessman and philanthropist, Rasak Okoya.
Investigations by www.theoctopusnews.com also revealed that the stickers have been there for a while, as the LCC seems to be calling the bluff of FIRS.
When www.theoctopusnews.com reached out to the LCC on the development, there was no response to the mail sent to info@lcc.com.ng, while the text message sent to +234-8083737779 was not replied as at time of going to press.
