Erstwhile Governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke, has always had the ambition of becoming the president of Nigeria.
Unfortunately, his dream has remained what it is, a dream.
Having launched his initial bid to rule Nigeria years back, Duke came out with nothing to show for his efforts, as he wasn’t able to emerge the preferred choice of his party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Since then, he has maintained an active profile showing up at events and political gatherings, but has not contested for any post.
With 2019 drawing nearer and politicians oiling their machinery, Duke has once again stirred up his ambition of the number one seat in the country. If his dream will become a reality in 2019, remains to be seen.
