Nigerian musician, Simi, got bashed by critics after she questioned the need for formal education.
The ‘Duduke’ singer took to Instagram to ask the need for formal education when people mostly forget what they were taught in school and end up doing something else with their lives.
Simi frowned at the fact that people have potential and talent; but do not tap them because they spend many years in school learning something they don’t care about.
Critics, who disagreed with her made their opinion known.
“If not for formal education, how would you write the songs you sing?” a critic asked the singer.
Simi is known for airing her critical views about issues and development in the country.
