Revered Nigerian lawyer and techpreneur, Dr. Ope Banwo, has celebrated late Charlie Kirk.
In a short but apt tribute spotted by The Octopus News on Facebook, Dr. Banwo expressed shock at the killing of the conservative.
In the post titled, “RIP – Charlie Kirk”, Banwo wondered why the most honest and clear-headed conservative voice winning the liberal vs conservative argument with the youths was killed.

“So they killed one of the most honest and clear-headed conservative voices out there, who is winning the liberal vs conservative argument out there with the youths by simply debating them honestly,” Banwo wrote in his post.
Banwo, who has authored several bestselling books, noted that although he doesn’t often comment much on American politics out of respect for the natural born Americans who must take the lead on the direction of their country, added that even as a naturalized American, he can never forget he was a guest who got privileged to be American.

Condemning the assassination of Kirk, Banwo noted that the incident just tears him up.”We cannot continue like this. We can’t cancel or kill people just because we do not like their views or because we disagree with them.

“RIP Charlie Kirk. At 31, you have already made your mark on the world by your thoughts and would not be forgotten as one of the few honest and pure thinkers who are not afraid to debate and ask uncomfortable questions of everyone, including his own natural constituency.”
