For former Managing Director of defunct Platinum Habib Bank (PHB), Francis Atuche and his wife Elizabeth, it is indeed celebration time.
Atuche and his wife Elizabeth alongside the former Chief Financial Officer of Bank PHB Mr. Ugo Anyanwu, who have been standing trial for a N25.7 billion fraud case brought against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), got a reprieve on Monday, June 22nd.
They were exonerated by Justice Lateef Lawal-Akapo who presided over the case in a High Court in Ikeja.
While many might say it is early for jubilation, friends and family of the Atuche’s believe he can celebrate in the meantime.
