The Spiritual Leader of Inri Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has warned members of the public to be conscious of an investment fraud that will surface in December.
The prophet of God likened the investment fraud to the Mavrodi Mundial Moneybox, popularly known as MMM .
According to him, the investment fraud will be more disastrous than MMM, and it will surface in December.
This comes barely months after thousands of Nigerians lamented losing their money in an investment fraud that took place via a digital investment platform, Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX).
According to the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede Nigerians reportedly lost about ₦1.3 trillion to the collapsed Ponzi scheme CBEX.
The EFCC revealed that it recovered part of the money invested by Nigerians in CBEX, and has arrested some suspects who promoted the scheme.
The anti-graft commission also declared some CIBEX promoters wanted.
CBEX which had promised 100% returns within 30 days through online trading, first restricted withdrawals on April 9, 2025. Investors initially believed the issue was a temporary glitch however their account balances suddenly vanished causing widespread hysteria.
