Bedazzling Zaynab Otiti Adds A Year
In the wake of the controversy that saw her removed as the Olori of the Ooni of Ife, Olori Zaynab Otiti was stripped of a lot of things.
The fair-complexioned beauty lost what she once thought a home. She also lost a man she once called her husband. Above all, she lost her respect.
But fate has a way of working miracles, amidst all of the losses suffered; she kept her grace, beauty and dreams, three things that have seen her going.
Initially keeping a low profile, she bounced back having been given a pedestal to return to the social scene with an honoured by the United Nation (UN), going on to empower the less privileged via her foundation, Queen Zaynab Foundation (QZF).
A year older tomorrow, Otiti might not get the privilege to celebrate a carnival-like party due to the lockdown, but she will enjoy the opportunity of looking back at the challenges of the years past and be grateful for where she is today.
