Breaking: President Jonathan Appoints Bamanga Tukur As Nigerian Railway Corporation Chairman
Former Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has a reason to smile again. Barely a week after he resigned from a prime position in his party, the man has been named the head of another juicy office.
Tukur is now Chairman of the Board of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC). The position of NRC chairman was formerly held by Kawu Baraje, the former factional chairman of the PDP who has since led his faction to fuse into the All Progressives Congress.
Alhaji Baraje resigned in the height of the PDP crisis in late 2013.
The probability that the railways will witness the transformation many had hoped for remains to be seen with the way Tukur handled his tenure as the National Chairman of PDP.
