Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Ayra Starr, appears to have shunned Grammy Award winner, Burna Boy, in her list of top three afrobeats stars.
Ayra Starr, whose real name is Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, named Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, and Rema as her Afrobeats big three of all time.
Burna Boy is one of Nigeria’s music powerhouses with several successful albums and sold-out concerts; however, despite this, he is not on Ayra Starr’s list.
In a recent interview with Hot 97 FM, Ayra Starr listed Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, and Rema as her “solid big 3”.X
“My Afrobeats Big 3 would be Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, and Rema. My solid Big,” she said.
The singer praised the trio for their contributions to the genre, with Savage representing the pioneering female force, Wizkid embodying global success, and Rema pushing boundaries with innovative sounds
