Female Afrobeats sensation, Ayra Starr, has spoken up on the viral speculation trailing her contract with Roc Nation.
The gossip mill was in overdrive mode recently following claims by an X user that the star’s contract forbids her from having a boyfriend or starting a family for five years.
“Ayra Starr isn’t allowed to have a boyfriend or start a family during her five-year contract with Roc Nation,” the X user shared on X.
Reacting to the speculation, the singer simply wrote:
“Does Ayra Starr know about this?”
The former Mavin Records artist joined Roc Nation, the American entertainment agency founded by Jay-Z, in 2023.
This year, 2025, Arya Starr won the award for Best International Act category at the BET Awards. She also holds credit for being the youngest Nigerian female artist to perform at the BET Awards.
