Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Spiritual Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, has unveiled a new set of prophecies.

The prophecies, tagged “Warnings to the Nations 2025 and Beyond,” were unveiled at a press conference held on December 21, 2025.

Typically, the prophecies covered a wide range of areas, including politics, insecurity, the economy, banking, and other critical sectors.

Speaking during the press conference held at his church, Primate Ayodele first clarified that he does not reveal prophecies for monetary reasons, adding that once a prophecy is revealed, the individual concerned may either accept it or ignore it. Going into the 2025 and beyond prophecies, he highlighted several developments yet to unfold, categorically mentioning President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi, among others.

Responding to questions from The Octopus News regarding two of his most controversial pronouncements—his prophecy concerning the Igbo ethnic group and the trumpet saga involving the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu—Primate Ayodele stated that his message about the Igbo was not malicious. He said he expected reasonable individuals from the region to seek clarification if they were confused, rather than antagonising him. According to him, since some Igbos chose to give their own interpretation to the prophecy, he owes no one an apology.

On the Adelabu issue, Primate Ayodele stated that he is too big to be dragged into disputes with the minister, adding that whatever is destined to happen should happen. He noted that Adelabu is a powerful minister in government, while he himself is a minister of God. He further stated that 2026, or whenever elections are held, would reveal the true outcome between both parties.

Debunking an online report that he had been invited by the Department of State Services (DSS) over the trumpet saga, Primate Ayodele said that if such an invitation had occurred, he would not have been present at the event.

“If you are a man of God, you seek the face of the Lord. Security agencies will work with you, either privately or openly,” he said.

Speaking on President Tinubu and the possibility of his administration finding relief from current challenges, Primate Ayodele said all he foresees is nemesis. He stated that no matter what the President does, he would not be appreciated, adding that Tinubu needs spiritual cleansing and must seek the face of God to understand why his efforts are not being appreciated. While noting that Tinubu has performed better than his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari, he said that despite Tinubu’s intelligence, he could not categorically state that there would be a solution to the issue of public dissatisfaction.

He further stated that nothing Tinubu does for the North would earn him appreciation, predicting that APC billboards would be pulled down in the region and party members insulted, similar to the treatment meted out to the PDP in 2015.

Primate Ayodele, who said many expect him to criticise Tinubu endlessly, noted that the President means well for Nigeria and has been trying to reduce hardship. He added that if anyone succeeds Tinubu in 2027, such a person may not perform better than him. He advised the President against accepting traditional titles and urged him to caution his family against doing the same.

On politics ahead of 2027, Primate Ayodele said Nigerians would vote not just along party lines but based on integrity, pedigree, and substance. He revealed that some northern elders would oppose Tinubu and urged the President to focus on the South-East, North-Central, North-East, and core North.

2026 Election
