The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode today made the day of Afro Juju Legend, Sir Shina Peters. The Juju music icon clocked 59 today and was surprised when a customized birthday card was delivered to him at his Iju,Lagos home.
The card, with the crest of Lagos State on it,is captioned “A Music Icon @ Birthday “. An elated Sir Shina Peters expressed his joy and amazement at the honor of being recognized by the state governor on his birthday.
In his words “Nothing prepared me for this gift of recognition from the hardworking governor of Lagos State, few days ago, I was part of the Lagos @ 50 Golden Concert which I played my heart out because of the remarkable achievements of Governor Ambode since his assumption of office as Governor of Lagos State.
His gesture today melts my heart and it further gives me confidence that we don’t only have a hard working governor in Lagos, we are also blessed with a caring governor. May God continue to give him the knowledge and wisdom to paddle the affairs of Lagos to greater heights”.
