Ahmed Kuru

No one wants to have a nightmare, no matter how brief.

However, businessmen indebted to the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), can be rest assured that they will be experiencing some soon.

Expected to have taken advantage of the newly amended 2019 AMCON Act empowering the corporation to establish the location of debtor’s funds at home or in the Diaspora, access financial details of debtors, and place bank account of debtors under surveillance, Kuru appeared to have been taking his time before going for the kill.

However, he got a nudge from the Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed to be more aggressive in the recovery of N5 trillion debt owed the corporation by a few individuals and organisations in the country.

With the nudge by the minister, the corporation’s boss will be coming for its debtors with some vengeance sooner than later.
