The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has announced the appointment of Omobayo Godwin as his new deputy.

Godwin:s appointment follows the impeachment of Philip Shaibu, the former deputy governor of the state.
Shaibu was impeached by the Edo State House of Assembly following the report and recommendations of an investigative panel.
The new deputy governor is a 38-year-old engineer.
Among several others, Shuaibu was accused of leaking the state government’s secrets
