Mayegun of Yorubaland, K1 de Ultimate, has reacted to a rumour of love lost between him and his wife, Emmanuella Ropo.
Recall that during the surprise birthday celebration of the Fuji Czar which was held at Radisson Blu over the weekend, he had rejected a kiss from his fair-complexioned wife.
While his action has since been severally interpreted by many, the musician insists that his action was not a sign of love lost between him and his wife.
In a statement signed by Kunle Rasheed for K1 de Ultimate band, he noted that the rumour making the rounds is the handiwork of rumour mongers.
“These rumour mongers have turned what ordinary was inconsequential to something they feel in their delusion, they should celebrate and spread for a gain we do not understand.
“It is rather unfortunate that these rumour spinners who thrive only in negativity should be able to see through their hate that love indeed has found a place to stay permanently in the couple’s hearts.
“It is so evident that K1 and his wife Emmanuella love each other dearly. This should be understood by many especially those who are waiting to rejoice at any bad news about the couple.
“Many of these gossips believe that the union will not work and are in perpetual agony when they see the marriage flourishing. It engulfs them with sadness and pain so much that their daily activities are to shop endlessly for ways to transfer their unhappy mode to a couple who is constantly enjoying the bliss of their union.
“We wish to say it clearly for the umpteenth time, that “Ajike Okin” and her darling husband K1 de Ultimate have mastered the way to always keep their faces toward the sunshine so that the shadows can fall behind them. They are still sailing on that love boat with no intention to halt the sail or sink it,” the statement concluded.
Interestingly, this is not the first time K1 de Ultimate and his wife will be drawn into a controversy of this nature.
Recall that in 2022, there was a rumour of how the musician had been allegedly slapped by Emmanuella Ropo, over infidelity allegations.
The situation was said to have allegedly become physical, an allegation that was subsequently debunked in a statement by Rasheed.
“Ordinarily, we would not have bothered to exchange words with this barefaced liar who chooses the holy month of Ramadan to tell hideous lies.
“We merely want to state that at no time did the Mayegun quarrel with his wife Ropo to the extent of her raising her hands on him. We are shocked that such an allegation can be thrown so casually.
“We make bold to say that this allegation is malicious and shudder even more than it could be peddled during Ramadan. Therefore, let the evil peddlers repent and seek the face of Allah for forgiveness,” the statement by Rasheed read then.
K1 de Ultimate and his wife, Emmanuella Ropo got married in an elaborate wedding ceremony held at the Palace of the Alake of Egbaland, Ake Abeokuta, in November 2021.
