Maurice Iwu bounces back?

Professor Maurice Iwu is one man who can’t be forgotten in a rush.
One of the “fondest” memories which a lot of Nigerians hold of him remains how as Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), boss he controversially announced Andy Uba as the governor of Anambra State before the later was disgracefully sent packing by the court.
That was one of the excesses of Iwu’s reign as the topmost man in INEC then because other contemptuous issues also trailed him.
Having fallen from grace to grass next to nothing was heard of Iwu for years as he existed like a man in exile until recently when the Ebola epidemic reached Nigeria.
Iwu’s appointment as a member of the committee on Ebola Research and Cure inaugurated by the Minister of Health, Professor Oyebuchi Chukwu, on Sunday, August 3, has given the man a new lease of life, even as some people are already speculating that it might end in yet another controversy.
