Breaking: Unknown Boys Set Area J Police Command Ablaze

Unknown boys in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State have set ablaze Area J Police Command.

The boys stormed the command in their numbers following the allege killing of a bike man by policemen at Golf Bus Stop, Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State.

An eye witness told www.theoctopusnews.com that the bike man was killed by policemen who allegedly knocked him down with their patrol truck and went away with his corpse.

When www.theoctopusnews.com visited the command, fire could be seen burning beside the gate house of the station with tyres set ablaze on the road and opposite the station.

The situation led to a shutdown of traffic flow for hours as road users could not ply the road.

Normalcy was however restored to the road when a team of Rapid Response Squard (RRS)  and a detachment of soldiers arrived the scene to disperse the protesters while shooting bullets and tear gas into the air.

Speaking with www.theoctopusnews.com, a bike at Golf Bus Stop noted that the police appeared to have no regard for the live, as the dead bike man was dumped into their truck like trash. Further, he revealed that the situation became volatile after the police men took away the corpse of the deceased bike man.
