FG Declares Public Holidays For Nigerians

The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Friday, April 2, and Monday, April 4 as public holidays.
The public holidays were declared on Tuesday, March 30, ahead of the Easter celebrations for the Christian faithful in Nigeria.
A statement by the Minister, Rauf Aregbesola, urged Christians to follow after forbearance, forgiveness, kindness, humility, love, peace, and patience, embodied in the life of Jesus Christ.
Aregbesola also urged believers to use the occasion of the 2021 Easter celebration to call on God for peace, unity, and progress of the country.
Aregbesola said the federal government will not rest on its oars to see that the lives and properties of citizens are protected during and beyond the celebration.
The former governor of Osun also assured citizens that the government will not relent in its efforts to deal with the spate of kidnapping, armed banditry, and other crimes and criminality ravaging the nation.
